Stoke on Trent Community Fund
Launched
The Stoke on Trent Community Fund was launched in March 2010. It was set up to encourage local businesses, enterprises and people to give to a central fund that could be used to distribute grants to needy organisations based in Stoke on Trent.
The Staffordshire Community Foundation will take donations and match them with 50p for every £1 donated and then invest the fund according to Charity Commission guidelines. Interest generated by the investment will be split - with part of it going back into the fund to ensure it grows year on year.
The remainder of the earned interest will be used to support local voluntary and community organisations by financing a grants scheme to which local organisations can apply.
Any business that donates to the Stoke on Trent Community Fund will also be featured in The Sentinel if they so wish, so there's a chance to let the people of Stoke on Trent know about the support your organisation is putting back into the city.
For more information please see 'Stoke on Trent Community Fund' in the Funds & Endowments section of this website.
